Vacina Mais

About the project
Vacina Mais was a major national campaign in 2022, led by the Brazilian National Council of Municipal Health Secretariats (Conasems) with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other partners. Its purpose was to create a nationwide network to promote vaccination by engaging states, city administrations, and institutions to encourage families to keep their immunization records up to date.

Challenge
Brazil, historically one of the world’s leaders in immunization, faced falling vaccination rates across multiple diseases due to misinformation and fake news. The challenge was to rebuild trust in vaccines and show their vital role in protecting the population, especially after decades of successful eradication and control of diseases like polio and measles.

My role
I served on the strategy committee, contributing to campaign design, communication planning, and content creation. I also managed partnerships and coordinated the distribution of materials to more than 30 public institutions nationwide, ensuring the campaign reached every region of Brazil.

Results
The campaign created a true national movement for vaccination, engaging governments, health councils, and institutions across the country. It reached millions of Brazilians, helping strengthen collective protection and reaffirming immunization as one of the most powerful public health tools available.
